Andrew Purchin Set of 4 Paintings

These four 6’ x 6’ paintings were created at last July 4th Billy Gathering

as part of my painting 50 paintings in 50 days.My work spawns from my duel practices of being in the moment as I paint directly from life and from my practice of deep dance improvisation.   In the deep dance practice, I work to stay present in a microscopic way, sensing my bones, joints, muscles and cells and how sensation and movement connect. From that point I sense the other dancers’ presence.  A soft peripheral receptive vision is important to be aware of the other dancers as we collaborate with our bodies.  I use my body like a paintbrush carving the space.  When I paint on location, I dance directly with the world as it passes by.

Command Performance by One Night Stand

One Night Stand sings tight vocal harmonies in the style of Manhattan Transfer. A Song Written Just for You!

A Song Written Just for You

I will write a piece of music for you, 2-5 minutes long, vocal or
instrumental, for 1-4 performers (any mix of vocal and instrumental).  For a
vocal piece, you need to provide the text.  The piece can be one for a
specific occasion if you wish, or a concert piece with your name on the
dedication, or whatever you have in mind.  My skills are mostly on the more
"classical" side, but I'll do my best to write in any style you want.

I've had two vocal pieces commissioned, and a total of half a dozen pieces
(mostly instrumental) performed on various concerts, in the past 5 years:
you'll be getting professional-quality work.  If you'd like to hear some

Five Days in a charming one-bedroom apartment in a landmark brownstone townhouse on West 87th Street in the Upper West Side area of Manhattan. The apartment has high-ceilings, a fireplace and two planted, south-facing balconies, overlooking a beautiful garden. There is a queen-sized bed in the private bedroom with a closing door.
